Hi guys. Regarding last names ? mine sounds like a fur coat with sand on it ? sort of. Interestingly, it sounds somewhat different when pronouncing it while in a drunken stupor or driving a nail into your finger.

I had a great great aunt by the name of Missouri Jane Carey. I always imagined she must have been an uppity sort with a wonderful name like that. My great great great grandpa was Napoleon Bonaparte Livingston. The family calls him Bony. When he was just 13, he ran away to be a drummer boy in the Union Army during the Civil War.

Rowyn, your family names are wonderfully different. Does your family come from a small town in France? ;-) By the way, it?s nice to see you in here ? as well as Absom and B the One and bunches of others.

I also knew a lady named Rose who married a man named Rose. She stayed Rose Rose.

Or the man who worked at a local hospital, Walter Walters. Why do people do that to their children, anyway?

It is gray and overcast in Ohio - we wanted the Giants to win. Art Modell is considered a four-letter word in many places around here. Sorry, B, gotta disagree with you this time and agree with Merle instead.

Oh, yeah, for you readers. If you like political intrigue and deep Washington D.C. stuff, check out Rock, Paper, Scissors by Steve Samuel. It kept me anxious the whole way through. It's excellent!

Being from NE Ohio I gotta agree with Jandy and Merle. I don't watch football but I know alot of people around here weren't to happy with the outcome of the Super Bowl.

OK, a few funny names I've heard:

Mom had a guy work for her named Harry Leggs. No kidding.

My brother worked with a guy named Harry Epp. Say it to yourself.

Well that's where my total lack of interest in football ordinarily comes in, I have no idea of the past history of what was going on with the players or people running the thing (except I do remember one of the players was tried for murder- right?). Anyway, I watched an isolated game, without past knowledge of the politics or whatever it would be called, and I liked the surround cameras showing plays I was convinced had been miscalled. It was exciting to see 3 touchdowns in less than a minute. I'm glad that Baltimore is pleased- although to my mind it is not a game but a bunch of highly paid professionals doing their job. Even so looking at the game as an isolated event, I enjoyed it!

there's a dutch anthropologist whose last name is dikshit.

bet there aren't too many of those in the phone book.
